This document is split into two sections, one concerning returns & exchanges for "buying" Items, and one concerning returns for the "selling" Items (as defined in the Terms and Conditions).
Return Period for Buying
7 day return period
Flip Phone offers a 7 day, no questions asked, return policy. Within the first 7 days of receiving your device (as determined by our authorized courier partner) you may elect to return your device to us for a full refund (subject to the terms and conditions set out below). We will organise the courier to collect your phone at no additional cost.
Any and all devices returned under the Flip Phone 7 day return period need to be in the exact same condition as they were sold in. Should the condition be different (ie, Brand New phone having been opened and now excellent) Flip Phone reserves the right to charge a restocking fee of the difference between the two conditions on the "sell" site (as referenced under important selling rules)
Any attempted returns outside the 7 day return period will be dealt with on a case by case basis, solely at Flip Phone's discretion. Otherwise, they will be treated as standard warranty claims. Please see the Flip Phone Warranty Policy for more information on warranties.
All refunds will be processed back using the method of payment used in the original transaction. If you paid by credit/debit card during the original transaction, your refund will be processed to this credit/debit card. This can take up to 14 working days, from the date the refund was processed, to show in your account, depending on your bank.
Should you opt to instead return your phone to purchase another, the refund will be effected as a store credit.
Return Period for Selling
Rejecting a Revised Valuation
If we send you a revised Valuation due to mismatches with your Item and the condition you specified, and you reject this revised Valuation; or if we for whatever reason as laid out in our Terms and Conditions reject your Item, excluding where criminal activity is involved, then the Item will be returned by our chosen courier to you at no additional cost and the Item shall be dispatched at our earliest convenience.
Methods of Returning a rejected Item
It is your sole responsibility to ensure that the address details provided in your initial enquiry are valid, accurate and correct and you accept and agree that we shall not be liable for any loss of any kind that you may incur due to Items being returned by us to an invalid or incorrect address as a result of your failure to provide valid, accurate and up to date address details. Please be aware that your Item will only be delivered to the address that you provide.
We will alert you via email that your Item is due to be delivered to your given address.
If your Item is not delivered when expected by our courier, you must notify us within 7 days of the agreed delivery date. If you fail to notify us of non-delivery within 7 days we shall not be liable for any loss or damage incurred as a result of non-delivery.
We shall be entitled to make such investigations as we deem necessary to satisfy ourselves of the validity of any such claim and will liaise with the relevant courier to confirm if non-delivery has occurred.
If the courier notifies us direct that a Package has been “Lost in Transit” (meaning that the Package can no longer be tracked or located by the courier for delivery to the customer) We will conduct our own internal investigations and once we are satisfied that the Package cannot be located and delivered to you, we will contact you in writing to confirm that your Package has been Lost in Transit and provide you with payment of the Valuation in accordance with your enquiry value.
In calculating the value of any claim we shall accept no other valuations than our original value for the Items that you may be claiming for and under no circumstances do we accept any liability for any other loss, damage or compensation resulting from our return of your Item.
If your claim is successful then we will notify you in writing and payment of the Valuation will be made via the payment method specified in your account on the Website.
